Face Yoga
Would you like to take the stress out of your skin,
tackle those stress lines and get your glow back?
Face Yoga is a proven & natural way to look younger and feel better
I teach the world-leading expert Danielle Collins’ Face Yoga Method which marries the traditional with the modern and works holistically to tone muscles, relax tension, and increase blood flow.
It is a combination of facial exercises, facial massage, facial acupressure and facial relaxation techniques that work to improve the health of your skin. Whilst it is focused upon the face, I have found that Face Yoga has also given me daily way in which to undo the stresses of the day and relax.
My objective in teaching Face Yoga is to provide you with a method that will leave you feeling better about both your skin and yourself. All the exercises and techniques that I teach have been designed to be safe and beneficial, and all the instructions are easy to follow.
Before you begin Face Yoga you should always ensure your hands are freshly washed. If you have any health issues or concerns or if any of the exercises feel uncomfortable, then please consult your doctor before continuing with Face Yoga. You should always work to your own comfortable limit.
What to expect from Face Yoga
Exercise
It’s like taking your face to the gym
If you workout then you will tone and firm your muscles of your body. If you’re consistent you’ll get abs and a sixpack. There are 57 muscles in the face and neck and whilst they are smaller than the muscles in the body, if you bulk them up via targeted exercises you will firm and lift both the muscle and the skin that it is attached to. This means that the skin will become tauten and that lines and wrinkles will diminish.
Massage
The natural way to plump & glow
The benefits of the Face Massage techniques are immediate. The massage boosts blood flow and oxygenates the skin. It also aids removal of toxins by improving lymph flow which can reduce puffiness and improve skin tone. However the thing I love the most about facial massage is that it stimulates production of collagen and elastin which are the skin’s natural plumping agents. Facial massage leaves you with a firmer and healthier complexion.
Acupressure
Let the tension melt away
This involves pressing on certain points on the face to calm, soothe and release tension. I try to finish my day with some acupressure as it can help with sleep, headaches, nasal congestion, stress and relaxation amongst others. You really need to try it to feel the benefits for yourself.
Relaxation
Take the stress out of your skin
Deep set lines and wrinkles can be caused by stress and by facial expressions such as frowning and grimacing. By bedtime the tension and stress of the day can often be ‘seen’ in my face. Face Yoga will provide you with awareness of how and where you hold tension in your face as well as teaching you how to relax and release it.
Well-being
Make time for wellness
Every morning and evening I dedicate time to practicing Face Yoga. I do it as part of a facial cleanse. It always leaves me looking and feeling relaxed and is a lovely ritual to end my day. Taking time for yourself each day will leave you feeling better and in control. The wonderful thing about Face Yoga is that you can do it anywhere and at anytime.
Time taken to see the results
You will see and feel the benefit after just one session. This is because you will relax the tension in your face and because you will glow from the improved blood flow which will leave you looking healthier. The ‘sweet spot’ for seeing an improvement in your face and neck for most people is between 2-4 months. By improvement I mean that you will notice fewer fine lines, less tension and you will look healthier and more energised. The way that you get results is by doing it every day. This isn’t as ominous as it sounds and I can work with you to find a routine that will fit into your daily routine.
